This is a hard message to write.
If grassroots supporters don’t step up, we may have to pull down our TV ad at a crucial moment.
This is a hard message to write.
My race for U.S. Senate just got a whole lot more serious.
My MAGA opponent, ex-NFL reporter Michele Tafoya, is Donald Trump’s top pick.
I just launched my latest TV ad, but MAGA Michele is still outspending me at a critical moment in this race.
My end-of-quarter fundraising deadline is creeping up fast, and at this point, we may not have the resources we need to keep my ads on the air.
I want to give you a peek behind the curtain and explain exactly why this matters.
June 30th is my biggest quarterly deadline yet. In 13 days, my fundraising numbers will be locked in for the quarter, and once they go public, everyone will be watching to see if we have the momentum to win this U.S. Senate race — the press, the GOP, my opponents… everyone.
A strong Q2 number says that this race is competitive — that Minnesotans are showing up, that there’s real grassroots energy behind this campaign. A weak number says the opposite — that enthusiasm is fading, that momentum is slipping and that the MAGA machine is winning.
The next 13 days aren’t about the money. They’re about the message those numbers send. But here’s the thing… I can’t wait until the end of the month to ask for your help.
It takes massive resources to keep TV ads on the air — millions of dollars, in fact. MAGA Michele has the RNC war chest behind her. I’m relying on my grassroots supporters to come through when it matters most.
If we don’t make significant progress toward our end-of-quarter fundraising goal, we risk having to pull down our ads at a crucial moment. Letting Tafoya run unopposed on the airwaves isn’t an option we can afford to risk.
If our grassroots support slips, and Democrats can’t hold onto this seat, taking back the Senate majority from the GOP becomes virtually impossible.
But if we meet our $1 million end-of-quarter fundraising goal — and if we outraise MAGA Michele this quarter — Democrats have a real shot at flipping the Senate and putting an end to Trump’s chaos. That’s why I’m writing to you now instead of waiting.
